Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an review of claims about questionable actions towards women.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
