The Women's Super League club are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific Germany forward Lea Schüller on a permanent transfer away from Bayern Munich.

Having scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. Her arrival will be seen as a marquee signing for the Women’s Super League side.

Reports in December that the German women's top flight was losing one of its leading strikers. Per multiple sources, the formalities for the transfer are now finalised.
Reliable Goalscoring to Strengthen the Attack
The experienced striker's arrival should represent a significant boost to the team's attacking options. She has been highly consistent in front of goal in the Bundesliga.

Their recent performances feature qualifying for the European knockout phase playoffs as a seeded team and a victory in the Conti Cup quarter-finals.
In the transfer market, the mid-season window has seen further activity:
- The acquisition of Swedish defender Hanna Lundkvist on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
- The contract extension for Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, a fan favourite since arriving in 2023.
Regarding the midfielder's new deal, a club official stated: “Miyazawa is now a critical component to the way we play. Her understanding of the game and technical ability enables her and the team to dominate play from the middle of the park.”
The new defender, having arrived from a club in the American league, added: “You can feel how much they [United] have grown in the last few years, playing in one of the strongest leagues in the world and performing in the top European competition.”
