Jude Bellingham Operated in a high position on the right while also put in dirty work. Demonstrated flashes of quality but scuffed an effort over. Replaced late on by a teammate, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. Seven

The winger Had England’s clearest opportunity of the first half, his shot smartly stopped by the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate hanging back, he was forced to offer an outlet out wide but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Replaced late in the match. 6/10

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring 77th and 78th finishes in an England shirt. His first a typical close-range tap-in while the second a superb headed goal following a clever run off his defender. The attacker Found it tough to influence play from the left. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham yet the keeper made the save. His replacement made much more of effect when substituted. Five
